Fredericksburg is an hour and a half, Enchanted Rock about the same, and Big Bend is a long but worthwhile day southwest. Most San Antonio trips are two or three nights in the Hill Country. A short-wheelbase build around 19.5 feet handles those easily and stays practical at home. Longer runs to Big Bend or the Guadalupe Mountains favor the extended layouts with more water and storage.

A conversion package builds the interior into a van you already own, starting at $46,950. A complete van includes the chassis, starting at $115,950. If you do not already own a Sprinter or Transit, we can source one so the whole purchase runs through a single point of contact. A Foundation shell from $9,970 is the third option for self-builders.

About an hour and 45 minutes north. Day-use entry is extremely popular and often sells out on weekends, so reserve ahead.
Roughly three hours north, with Gorman Falls, river access and primitive campsites. Park roads are rough in places, which rewards ground clearance.
Eight to nine hours west. Remote, hot in summer, cold on winter nights, and far from services. Arrive with full water tanks, a charged battery bank and a spare tire you trust.
Around eight hours northwest, at the highest point in Texas. Strong winds, cold nights and very limited services.

A new build gives you a layout designed around your trips, systems you understand, and a lifetime cabinet warranty. A used van costs less and is available sooner, but you inherit someone else's layout and wiring.
