Our S and XLS models include a fully enclosed wet bath with a proper showerhead, hot water, and ventilation. Not an afterthought. The shower is integrated into the floorplan so it doesn't compromise your kitchen, bed, or storage layout.

Common questions
The DUO series is designed for couples or solo travelers who sleep 2 to 3 people. It is built on the Sprinter platform in either a 144-inch short wheelbase or 170-inch long wheelbase. The Family series seats and sleeps 4 to 5 people and includes larger sleeping and seating layouts designed for families or groups. Both series are available with or without an enclosed shower depending on the model you choose.
Wheelbase refers to the distance between the front and rear axles of the van. The standard length (~19.5 ft) is more maneuverable and fits into standard parking spaces, making it a great choice for city driving and tighter campgrounds. The extended length (~22.5 ft) gives you significantly more interior space, which means more room for a dedicated bed, larger kitchen, and additional storage. The right choice depends on how you plan to use the van and where you plan to park it.
Not every model includes a shower in the base configuration. The DUO S and DUO XLS models are specifically designed with an integrated enclosed wet bath. The FAMILY XLS model also includes a shower. If you want a shower, we recommend starting with one of these models as the plumbing and layout are engineered for it from the beginning. Adding a shower as an afterthought compromises other parts of the build.
Our tailored van builds typically start in the low six figures and vary depending on the model, wheelbase, feature selections, and any custom upgrades you add. The van itself is purchased separately. Most tailored builds take 8 to 12 weeks from the time your build slot is confirmed and your van is delivered to our Boulder workshop. Lead time can vary based on current build schedule and the complexity of your configuration. We will give you a realistic timeline during your consultation.
Yes. The manufacturer's warranty on both the vehicle and installed equipment is fully respected and passes through to you. On top of that, The Vansmith provides a lifetime warranty on all cabinet work for the original owner. We also offer ongoing support for service, upgrades, and technical questions long after your van is delivered.
