Van Heater SERVICE AND REPAIR in Colorado

The Vansmith is your trusted partner in building comfortable, adventure-ready vans. We specialize in Webasto and Espar van heater inspection, service, and cleaning in Boulder, Colorado.  The diesel and gas units from Espar and Webasto are the gold standard for reliable warmth, offering efficiency, safety, and comfort on every journey. But even they need a little help every now and then. Let us service your  heater to ensure perfect calibration for altitude to ensure the cleanest and most effective use.

When the temperatures drop, a reliable fuel heater can mean the difference between a warm, comfortable adventure and a miserably cold trip. Webasto and Espar heaters are fantastic for keeping your van cozy in the winter, running off your vehicle’s fuel supply so you don’t have to carry a separate propane or diesel heater. However, if they fail at the wrong time, you’re left battling the cold—and worse, risking frozen pipes and other damage inside your van.

At The Vansmith, located in Boulder, Colorado, we specialize in servicing Webasto and Espar fuel heaters to ensure your system is running at peak performance. Whether you’re heading up to the mountains or camping in freezing temps, you can trust us to keep your heater reliable when you need it most.

5 Steps to a Cozy Van

maintaining your unit to minimize need for service

We recommend “burning” your unit for 30 minutes on max heat every month This will:

 - Ensure you constantly have fresh fuel in your line

 - Help burn off accumulated soot

If you’re experiencing issues at high altitude, sometimes the best fix is to descend to a lower elevation and perform a full burn cycle there. This can help reset your heater’s performance.

If you get a bubble in your fuel line and the unit struggles to start - you may need to pull a fuse and restart the unit to help help purge the line. You may need to repeat this multiple times

Especially important to make sure to fire up your unit in fall and make sure it is in working operation before you hit the open road!
