Engineered around the factory wall contours, the system mounts to the rear interior metal structure using precision-fit steel braces, creating a solid foundation without unnecessary bulk. Steel angle rails attach to these braces to form the primary bed frame, while cross bars with integrated heavy-duty Velcro provide a secure, stable platform that resists shifting during use. The Versabed is available in our durable Hex-Ply material for a rugged, lightweight build, or upgraded to Amber Bamboo for a more premium aesthetic. Designed with versatility in mind, the platform is fully adjustable—measuring approximately 59.5" x 66.5" in its compact configuration to maximize interior space, and extending to 74.5" in length when fully deployed for a comfortable sleeping surface. The kit ships as a straightforward DIY system with clearly labeled components and easy-to-follow instructions, making installation approachable and efficient. Predrilled mounting points set the bed height at approximately 37" off the factory floor, intentionally aligned with our galley cabinet height to ensure no interference, while still allowing up to ~10" of vertical adjustability if you choose to customize. The system is also easily removable, allowing you to quickly return to full floor-to-ceiling cargo space when needed.
